Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership to the Board through stewarding a board culture of active engagement and inclusivity, mediating conflicts and maintain regular contact with board members
  • Meets regularly with Vice-Chair to discuss work of the Board
  • Works with Vice-Chair to ensure that YNPN Triangle NC leadership is present and available at regular committee meetings
  • Recruits new members to YNPN Triangle NC
  • Recruits potential Board members from YNPN Triangle NC membership and the nonprofit sector
  • Seeks out new opportunities for partnerships and collaborations through active networking and relationship-building
  • Presides at all meetings of the Board of Directors including setting the agenda for each meeting
  • Responsible for managing
  • Attends (if possible) all YNPN Triangle NC events, personally thanking special guests and serving as a spokesperson for the organization
  • Responsible for leading the creation of strategic plan and administrative budget
  • Serves as a signatory on YNPN Triangle NC bank account
  • Represents YNPN Triangle NC at external events to position organization as a leader in the nonprofit sector
  • Ensures there is a process of evaluation for Board members and the board as a whole
  • Takes responsibility, when appropriate, for the overall fundraising plan and fiscal sustainability of the organization

Time Commitment
