We are currently recruiting for our 2017 Board of Directors.
Even if you have never served on a nonprofit board, or feel like you don't have enough experience, YNPN Triangle NC has multiple opportunities for you to be involved at a deeper level. You will help to develop emerging leaders, to build a broader network of support, and to create a more just, equitable Triangle community.
We have roughly 5 - 7 open positions on our Board of Directors for 2017. We encourage all young professionals with an interest in advancing the mission of YNPN Triangle NC to apply, whether you serve in the nonprofit, for-profit, or public sector.
As we continue to build a more equitable, inclusive Board of Directors, we recognize there are voices missing or underrepresented in our chapter leadership. Therefore, we have developed several priorities for our 2017 Board:
- Continue to increase the number of people of color, men, LGBTQ representation, particularly in chair positions
- Add leaders who have experience/background in finance/budgeting, data management, and executive leadership (i.e. served as a CEO, executive director, etc.)
We strive to have geographic diversity, ensuring we represent the Triangle cities and towns. We strive to represent a variety of social missions and positions within our organizations.
