We know that emerging leaders in the nonprofit sector are helping to transform our communities and our world each day. The YNPN Triangle NC Board is committed to ensuring these dedicated professionals have access to the knowledge and skills needed to take on additional responsibilities, gain confidence, and step into bigger and bolder opportunities. For us, this means creating accessible professional development workshops and resources rooted in our competency model to ensure our members have a broad skill set to tackle the next challenge.
We have an ambitious goal of raising $3,000 over the next two months. We, as a board, recognize the importance of walking our own walk. That is why we hold ourselves accountable for 100% participation in financially supporting YNPN Triangle NC. Today, we invite you to join us in making an investment -- an investment in people; an investment in equity; and an investment in building a more powerful and diverse social sector.Donate

This past Saturday morning, I took a few steps outside, snapped a few photos, and declared myself over the wintry weather. I grew up in the Southwest where wearing shorts in December and January was the norm, not the exception. Even after ten years living in a place where snow likes to make a curtain call at least once a year, I’m still not on board with sleet.Read more

We know that many of our members wear more hats than they can count. We know that too many students are afraid to join the nonprofit sector because of the perceived low pay and high demand. And we know that emerging leaders in the Triangle are hungry for change.
At YNPN Triangle NC, we're ready to these challenges head on - with you and for you. Our 2017 programming will focus on what tools, skills, and knowledge leaders like you need in order to transform our nonprofit sector. We cannot afford to stop learning and growing. Whether it's been years since you've been in a classroom or it is part of your daily routine, YNPN Triangle NC invites you to invest in our big plans we have for you in 2017.
What will your campaign contributions go towards? Here is what we're working on:
- Securing experts in leadership, racial equity, communications, fundraising, and general nonprofit professionalism to offer more in-depth workshops for 2017
- Offering scholarships and/or discounts to other conferences, professional development opportunities, and trainings for our members
- Providing additional resources at events, from those resources that satiate the mind (i.e. books, subscription services) to those that satiate the belly (snacks)
- Establishing a more robust mentorship program for professionals from of all levels of experience
- Conducting more outreach on campuses and in our communities in order to encourage more emerging leaders to join our nonprofit sector
Our ears are always open for your ideas! Send us a note at email@example.com. Thank you for your support and for working tirelessly in order to ensure our community becomes stronger, more resilient, and more equitable!Donate

I stumbled into YNPN Triangle NC back in 2012. I was looking for other young nonprofit folks to connect with and a group like YNPN seemed to be the perfect fit. Over the last four years, YNPN Triangle NC has given me countless gifts: from connecting me with incredibly talented, smart leaders; to broadening my personal and professional skills through educational workshops and our #NonprofitSTRONG conference; to the opportunity to join the Board of Directors starting in 2013.
As the current board chair, I want to continue to expand our network and impact for the Triangle's emerging leaders. Whether a recent high school or college graduate to those making a transition from private or public services into the nonprofit space, I want to empower these leaders who are doing incredible work for the benefit of our community.
At the end of the day, we all know the importance of relationships. At YNPN Triangle NC, whether on the board, in our committees, or within the broader membership, we value taking the time to connect with one another, to share advice and resources, and to forge strong bonds between each other.
Please join me in supporting our Board of Director's 2016 Invest in Emerging Leaders campaign! With additional financial resources, we can reach more leaders in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and the cities and towns in-between.Donate
