Board Give or Get - 2017 Campaign

    $1,935.00 raised
    GOAL: $3,000.00

We know that emerging leaders in the nonprofit sector are helping to transform our communities and our world each day. The YNPN Triangle NC Board is committed to ensuring these dedicated professionals have access to the knowledge and skills needed to take on additional responsibilities, gain confidence, and step into bigger and bolder opportunities. For us, this means creating accessible professional development workshops and resources rooted in our competency model to ensure our members have a broad skill set to tackle the next challenge.

We have an ambitious goal of raising $3,000 over the next two months. We, as a board, recognize the importance of walking our own walk. That is why we hold ourselves accountable for 100% participation in financially supporting YNPN Triangle NC. Today, we invite you to join us in making an investment -- an investment in people; an investment in equity; and an investment in building a more powerful and diverse social sector.

  • What makes a successful nonprofit leader? Find out with us in 2017.

This past Saturday morning, I took a few steps outside, snapped a few photos, and declared myself over the wintry weather. I grew up in the Southwest where wearing shorts in December and January was the norm, not the exception. Even after ten years living in a place where snow likes to make a curtain call at least once a year, I’m still not on board with sleet.

Invest in emerging leaders with me!

    $2,575.00 raised
    GOAL: $500.00

I stumbled into YNPN Triangle NC back in 2012. I was looking for other young nonprofit folks to connect with and a group like YNPN seemed to be the perfect fit. Over the last four years, YNPN Triangle NC has given me countless gifts: from connecting me with incredibly talented, smart leaders; to broadening my personal and professional skills through educational workshops and our #NonprofitSTRONG conference; to the opportunity to join the Board of Directors starting in 2013.

As the current board chair, I want to continue to expand our network and impact for the Triangle's emerging leaders. Whether a recent high school or college graduate to those making a transition from private or public services into the nonprofit space, I want to empower these leaders who are doing incredible work for the benefit of our community.

At the end of the day, we all know the importance of relationships. At YNPN Triangle NC, whether on the board, in our committees, or within the broader membership, we value taking the time to connect with one another, to share advice and resources, and to forge strong bonds between each other.

Please join me in supporting our Board of Director's 2016 Invest in Emerging Leaders campaign! With additional financial resources, we can reach more leaders in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and the cities and towns in-between.
