Responsibilities
The Vice-Chair supports the strategic plan of YNPN Triangle NC with special focus on the priority of diversity, inclusion, and access by supporting committees and championing a board and member culture of active engagement and positive relations. The Vice-Chair:

  • Chairs board meetings in the absence of the Chair

  • Meets regularly with Chair to discuss work of the Board, gaining knowledge to assume role of Chair

  • Works with Chair to ensure that YNPN Triangle NC leadership is present and available at regular committee meetings

  • Serves as the alternate representative to National YNPN

  • Provides support to YNPN Triangle NC committees and committee chairs through skills and capacity evaluation

  • Works with committee chairs to ensure that frames of diversity, access, and inclusion are used in creating and evaluating YNPN Triangle NC offerings and events

  • Recruits new members to YNPN Triangle NC

  • Recruits potential Board members from YNPN Triangle NC membership and the nonprofit sector

  • Promotes the organization in the community

  • Serves as backup for supporting relationship with national YNPN

Time Commitment
15 – 20 hours per month for two years
