Conference Aims to Develop Next Generation of Nonprofit Leaders in North Carolina

Jesica Averhart of Leadership Triangle to speak at #NonprofitSTRONG Summit

Hundreds of nonprofit professionals from more than 150 organizations across North Carolina will attend a full-day conference in Raleigh on Friday, May 18, geared toward developing the next generation of leaders in the nonprofit and public sectors.

The #NonprofitSTRONG Summit, organized by the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of the Triangle (YNPN Triangle NC), will be held at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center and feature 16 dynamic trainings on a wide range of issues, including how to make nonprofit organizations more diverse and inclusive, how to use new technology and data to achieve greater impact in the community, and advice for job-seekers. This year’s Summit will also feature keynote speaker Jesica Averhart, Executive Director of Leadership Triangle.

"When you bring together nonprofit professionals from across the region, greatness is sure to abound!” said Jesica Averhart, Executive Director of Leadership Triangle. “I look forward to spending the day with these highly energized visionaries and unpacking how to do the ‘good work’ while living on the ‘growing edge.”

The conference will also offer free professional headshots, one-on-one professional development meetings, coaching sessions, informational interviews, and networking.

“The professionals at the #NonprofitSTRONG Summit are the future of the nonprofit sector,” said Molly Rivera, YNPN Triangle NC Board Chair. “By investing in the professional development of these emerging leaders, we are working to make nonprofit organizations in the Triangle more inclusive, sustainable, and powerful.”
