Fundraising Chair Position Description

Below is a description of the responsibilities of the Fundraising Chair on the board of directors for YNPN Triangle NC.

Responsibilities:

The Fundraising Chair ensures the financial viability and sustainability of the organization by crafting and executing plans to achieve revenue targets. The Fundraising Chairs cultivate and nurture ongoing relationships with key funders, donors, partners, and other organizations to support the mission-driven work of YNPN Triangle NC. 

The Fundraising Chair will:

  • Supervise the Fundraising Committee and ensure they have the tools needed to support the overall management of the fundraising committee 
  • Work with the Programming Committee to coordinate fundraising campaigns including: sponsorship for the #NonprofitSTRONG Summit and monthly programming events, individual giving, fundraising event(s) and board give/get campaign
  • Create and implement fundraising goals, ensuring alignment with YNPN Triangle NC’s  strategic plan
  • Create and manage the annual fundraising committee budget
  • Determine project timelines for the overall committee
  • Lead annual analysis of donor pipeline and donor experience for YNPN Triangle NC
  • Cross collaborate with other YNPN Triangle NC committees 
  • Maintain the Fundraising Chair email address and all outward-facing communication
  • Conduct regular fundraising committee meetings
  • Organize interviews and the selection of committee members
  • Update and maintains the SOPs for the fundraising committee
