Outreach Committee Chair Position Description

Responsibilities

The Chair of the Outreach Committee supports the YNPN Triangle NC strategic plan by providing data and recommendations that will support an engaged and mobilized membership. The Outreach Chair:

• Creates and executes outreach plans that serve to increase the awareness of YNPN Triangle NC as a resource in the Triangle nonprofit community and to increase the number of YNPN Triangle NC members and overall awareness of the organization and the benefits it provides to the sector
• Serves the organization as a resource on sector-shaping membership trends, issues, and strategies
• Supports the fiscal sustainability of YNPN Triangle NC by engaging in any necessary budgeting process
• Coordinates efforts with other YNPN Triangle NC Committees to ensure all are working cooperatively and effectively toward achieving YNPN Triangle’s mission and specifically membership goals
• Reports on the activities and accomplishments of the Outreach Committee at full board meetings and/or through monthly committee reports or action plans
• Delegates tasks to Committee members and ensures their timely completion
• Recruiting for and managing committee members.
