Responsibilities: 

The Senior Programming Chair supports YNPN Triangle NC’s strategic plan by creating programming that provides professional development and leadership training to young nonprofit professionals in the Triangle and fosters a culture of active engagement and inclusivity. 

The Senior Programming Chair will:

  • Supervise the Junior Programming Chair and ensure they have the tools needed to support the overall management of the programming committee
  • Work with the Junior Programming Chair to coordinate monthly professional development and networking events based on YNPN Triangle NC’s Competency Model 
  • Create and implement the goals for the programming committee, ensuring alignment with YNPN Triangle NC’s strategic plan 
  • Create and manage the annual programming committee budget
  • Determine the programmatic resources needed to accomplish event coordination and volunteer goals 
  • Determine event and project timelines for the committee 
  • Conduct regular programming committee meetings 
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of data and evaluation related to YNPN Triangle NC programming, such as attendance and feedback at events 
  • Cross collaborate with other YNPN Triangle NC committees 
  • Communicate finalized event details to the Marketing & Communications Committee within an agreed-upon and adequate time frame for effective promotion
  • Maintain the Programming Chair email address and all outward-facing communication 
  • Organize Interviews and the selection of committee members 
  • Update and maintain the SOPs for the programming committee 
  • Manage the website pages, as it pertains to the programming committee 
  • Attend (if possible) all YNPN Triangle NC events, personally thanking special guests and serving as a spokesperson for the organization
  • Support the organization through the annual Board Give/Get Campaign at a contribution level of $100 or more
