Responsible To
Board of Directors (Chair)

The Treasurer supports the strategic plan of YNPN Triangle NC with special focus on creating fiscal sustainability through effective planning, strategy, and communication. The Treasurer:

  • Sits on the Executive Committee
  • In conjunction with the Executive Committee, develops and updates annual budget accordingly
  • Manages the budget of YNPN Triangle NC, including accounts receivable and payable
  • Manages the general ledger of YNPN Triangle NC, ensuring reconciliation with bank account
  • Prepares monthly budget overview for each board meeting
  • Works with board to project financial needs and create resources and policies to ensure needs are met, including but not limited to individual giving, membership fees, earned income, and grant funding
  • Creates reports for membership on the financial state of the organization as needed
  • Monitors organizational PayPal account and any other financial account
  • Submits monthly payments for listserv and Eventbrite as needed
  • Works with Summit Committee on submitting timely payment to vendors
  • Manages all reimbursement requests from board members
  • Maintains relationship with fiscal sponsor(s) as appropriate
  • Acts as signing officer of the board, which includes all check payments made from YNPN Triangle NC
  • Continually works to streamline financial operations and ensure accurate booking occurs


  • Experience with finance, including budget management, bookkeeping, and standard operating procedures 
  • Ability to synthesize and determine focus
  • Organizational ability
  • Knowledge of current accounting practices
  • Attention to detail

Time Commitment
15 - 20 hours per month, two-year term
