Vice Chair Position Description

Below is a description of the responsibilities of the Vice Chair on the board of directors for YNPN Triangle NC.

Responsibilities:

The Vice-Chair is a member of the Executive Committee and supports the YNPN Triangle NC strategic plan by providing leadership in the area of strategic initiatives, liaising with YNPN National, and the priority of diversity, inclusion, and equity.

The Vice-Chair will:

  • Sit on the Executive Committee and facilitate monthly committee meetings with the guidance and input of the Board Chair
  • Facilitate board meetings in the absence of the Chair
  • Meet regularly with the Chair to discuss strategic direction and the work of the board
  • Serve as the main representative to YNPN National, attending all chapter congress meetings and coordinating additional activities as appropriate
  • Provide support to YNPN Triangle NC committees and committee chairs through professional development activities 
  • In coordination with the Board Chair and other Board Members, supports recruitment for YNPN Triangle NC board, committees, and membership
  • Serve as YNPN Triangle ambassador and promotes the organization in the community
  • Support the organization through the annual Board Give/Get Campaign via a personal contribution or Peer-to-Peer fundraiser at $100 or more
