Summer has finally made its way to the Triangle! ‘Tis the season for sun, fun, and most importantly, revitalization. As nonprofit professionals, we work hard to advocate for our agencies, causes, and clients. No matter the mission we continue to push forward with the goal of making an impact on the communities that we serve, but who’s taking care of you? YNPN Triangle NC understands that navigating the day-to-day challenges of working in the nonprofit sector can be challenging, and you deserve a break.
With that in mind, we invite you to come take a breather with us at our Self-Care Summer Kickoff! Whether you’re in need of a physical or mental reboot, we’ve got you covered. The Produce Box will be on-site to share information on how you can eat healthy and local this summer, even with your busy schedule. We will also have Liza Engstrom of Collective Wellness, LLC join us for an invigorating group practice of laugh yoga. Yes, you read that right: laugh yoga (no mat required)!
UPDATE: Louisha Barnette, a Durham-based health coach, yoga instructor, and author of Create Bliss: how to look and feel your best with 6 simple daily self-care habits, will lead us in our opening workshop, "Taking Care of MEEEE" (Meditate, Exercise, Eat Well, Express Gratitude, Expect Great Things).
Attendees will also have the opportunity to win two baskets featuring some self-care goodies.
Additional self-care resources will be available and refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
